Gillian is a freelance writer and columnist for a variety of national newspapers and magazines. 

After graduating in 2000 with a BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, Gillian trained as a secondary school teacher. 

She went on to lead an English department at a middle school in Bedfordshire, before moving to France with her husband, Ray, in 2009. 

She now writes regularly for a range of UK publications. Her first novel 'Everything is Fine' was released by Orion in May 2020 and her second 'Perfect on Paper' in May 2021.
