Ros Jones

Medical Proofreader

BA (Hons) Applied Language Studies

Ros joined EMIS (now Patient.info) in 2009 as a clinical proofreader.

Her initial role focused on meticulous checking of clinical articles, patient leaflets and medicine leaflets, to ensure consistency of spelling, grammar, reference material and brand style. With the site’s commitment to expansion of content material, she now also enjoys reading features and recipes, together with ad hoc in-house site text and promotional content.

Originally from the South Coast of England, she spent over 25 years in London, aside from one year at universities in France and Germany. Having gained her degree, she worked for over a decade as a recruitment consultant and associate director of La Crème, Douglas Llambias Associates - her initial step into the world of proofreading. She was proud to be part of a high-achieving, results-driven professional organisation. Graduate training projects and Greater London college student lecturing are particularly fond memories of her time there.

Moving back to her home town in 1998, she began a new career in the medical market, working both in the laser dermatology and the musculoskeletal injury fields. She is now passionate about making her contribution to the evidence-based clinical information championed by Patient and its hugely talented team of authors and peer reviewers.
